Become a Nonpartisan Poll Monitor In Alabama Training
Join the Legal Defense Fund NAACP and the League of Women Voters of Alabama for a statewide, nonpartisan poll monitoring training ahead of Alabama’s May 19 primary election. Learn how to support voters, observe polling locations, and help protect fair access to the ballot. Two virtual training sessions are available on May 13 and May 14.

As attacks on Black political power intensify across the South, it is critical that we help our communities make sense of this moment beyond headlines and legal jargon.
Join this important national ethnic media briefing, “Erasing the Black Vote in the Deep South: Five Voting Rights Activists Fight Back,” featuring organizers, legal experts, and movement leaders from across the South discussing the recent attacks on the Voting Rights Act, emergency redistricting efforts, and what’s at stake for democracy moving forward.
The March Is Not Over
As attacks on voting rights continue and key protections of the Voting Rights Act are weakened, communities across the South are coming together for a National Day of Action in Alabama. Beginning in Selma, faith leaders, organizers, students, and community members will gather at the historic Edmund Pettus Bridge for prayer, reflection, and collective action.
This gathering is part of “All Roads Lead to the South,” a grassroots movement calling people across generations to stand together and build what comes next.

Following the morning gathering in Selma, communities from across Alabama and the South will continue the National Day of Action at the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery.
As threats to voting rights and representation grow, organizers, advocates, faith leaders, students, and residents will come together to demand accountability, protect democracy, and continue the work started by previous generations of civil rights leaders.
